About The Basement
“The Basement at Tommy’s built organically,” said Tommy O’Reilly, owner of Tommy Fox’s, “First it was new comics who performed for family and friends. Then comedy pros stopped in to work out material and before we knew it, acts started calling for bookings and the audience switched from family and friends to the general public.”
“Our goal is to create a space where locals can come for great entertainment, as well as a home for all performers, both developing and old pros, to share their talents with the community at large,” said comedian and booker, Chip Ambrogio. “We want The Basement at Tommy’s to be a home for new and established acts to showcase their skills and build a loyal following that keeps customers coming back for more!”
In addition to regular comedy nights The Basement at Tommy’s will host acoustic music nights, comedy game shows, classes, one person shows, and open mics, as well as private events, fundraisers and more.

April 20- Linette Palladino and Friends
Linette's has performed at clubs and festivals all over the United States, and internationally. From Iceland to Hong Kong and for the troops in Iraq, Linette has seen it all.
She has opened for some of America's best comics including Dave Attell, and Carole Montgomery. She was one of five nationwide finalists in the HBO Latino Stand-up Competition, and, most recently, she earned the top block as Jersey's Funniest Female.
Offstage, Linette is a mom, wife, and currently serves as a Major in the US Army.
April 27- Poppy Champlin and Friends
Poppy Champlin is one of the quickest witted comedians working either coast today. Besides Poppys deep comedic chops, she has a good voice that she puts to use during each performance. She erupts onto the stage, fearless, upbeat and energetic spitting out jokes, quips, songs, impressions and even birdcalls. Poppys shows can be described as spin art No two alike.
Her stand-up pedigree is extensive: from being the winner of Americas Funniest Real Woman on The Joan Rivers Show, then featured on Entertainment Tonight.
Joining Poppy will be the very funny Zoey Walker and Kyle Schickner, plus a special guest.

Chip Ambrogio is a veteran standup and comedy writer who has worked with many of today’s top headliners., He was a contributing writer for The Friars Club Roasts, and co-creator of Room for Improvement selected as a semi-finalist by A&E and Lifetime at the New York Television Festival. Over the past ten years, Chip has taught over 700 people the art of standup comedy.
For creatives interested in producing their own shows, the room features a small stage, lights, and sound. The room can also be reconfigured to fit the needs of small stage productions, one act plays and pocket fundraisers and seminars.
