About The Basement
“The Basement at Tommy’s built organically,” said Tommy O’Reilly, owner of Tommy Fox’s, “First it was new comics who performed for family and friends. Then comedy pros stopped in to work out material and before we knew it, acts started calling for bookings and the audience switched from family and friends to the general public.”
“Our goal is to create a space where locals can come for great entertainment, as well as a home for all performers, both developing and old pros, to share their talents with the community at large,” said comedian and booker, Chip Ambrogio. “We want The Basement at Tommy’s to be a home for new and established acts to showcase their skills and build a loyal following that keeps customers coming back for more!”
In addition to regular comedy nights The Basement at Tommy’s will host acoustic music nights, comedy game shows, classes, one person shows, and open mics, as well as private events, fundraisers and more.

October 18 -New York Attitudes
National touring headliners Ellen Karis and Greg Kritikos bring comedy with a New York attitude to The Basement at Tommy's.
Join us for a top-notch night of laughs with a city flare.
Tickets are $25 in advance. You can also buy at the door for a $30 cash cover at the door. There is a two item minimum for all guests.
Full food and drink menu available in the showroom and plenty of free parking behind the venue. Just turn on Portland avenue which will take you to the back parking lot.

October 19 - Jeffrey Paul and Friends
Jeffrey Paul has lived a very interesting life. He has been a School Dean, an English Teacher, a Police Officer, a roadie for Bruce Springsteen, and a manager at a strip club. While he was passionate about all his past endeavors, his biggest passion is making people laugh.
Joining Jeffery will be a great supporting cast of local talent.

About Chip
Chip Ambrogio is a veteran standup and comedy writer who has worked with many of today’s top headliners., He was a contributing writer for The Friars Club Roasts, and co-creator of Room for Improvement selected as a semi-finalist by A&E and Lifetime at the New York Television Festival. Over the past ten years, Chip has taught over 700 people the art of standup comedy.
For creatives interested in producing their own shows, the room features a small stage, lights, and sound. The room can also be reconfigured to fit the needs of small stage productions, one act plays and pocket fundraisers and seminars.
